This is to keep the top-level directory clean, to make it clear what is
core and what is a port, and to allow the repository to grow with new ports
in a sustainable way.

There were several different spellings of MicroPython present in comments,
when there should be only one.
|

This method follows the new HW API and allows to set a hard or soft IRQ
callback when a Pin has a level change. It still remains to make this
method return a IRQ object.

ExtInt, Timer and CAN IRQ callbacks are made to work with the scheduler.
They are still hard IRQs by default, but one can now call
micropython.schedule within the hard IRQ to schedule a soft callback.

Otherwise, they serve reoccurring source of copy-paste mistakes and
breaking nanbox build.

If a user tries to call `swint()` while interrupt is disabled the flag in
SWIER is set but the interrupt is not triggered and therefore the SWIER bit
is not cleared. When the interrupt is again enabled the next call to
`swint()` won't trigger the IRQ because a 0 to 1 transition will not occur.
|

The L4 MCU supports 40 Events/IRQs lines of the type configurable and
direct. But this L4 port only supports configurable line types which are
already supported by uPy. For details see page 330 of RM0351, Rev 1.
The USB_FS_WAKUP event is a direct type and there is no support for it.

The first argument to the type.make_new method is naturally a uPy type,
and all uses of this argument cast it directly to a pointer to a type
structure. So it makes sense to just have it a pointer to a type from
the very beginning (and a const pointer at that). This patch makes
such a change, and removes all unnecessary casting to/from mp_obj_t.

py/mphal.h contains declarations for generic mp_hal_XXX functions, such
as stdio and delay/ticks, which ports should provide definitions for. A
port will also provide mphalport.h with further HAL declarations.

Extracted GPIO clock enable logic into mp_hal_gpio_clock_enable
and called from anyplace which might need to use GPIO functions
on ports other than A-D.

Previous to this patch the printing mechanism was a bit of a tangled
mess. This patch attempts to consolidate printing into one interface.
All (non-debug) printing now uses the mp_print* family of functions,
mainly mp_printf. All these functions take an mp_print_t structure as
their first argument, and this structure defines the printing backend
through the "print_strn" function of said structure.
Printing from the uPy core can reach the platform-defined print code via
two paths: either through mp_sys_stdout_obj (defined pert port) in
conjunction with mp_stream_write; or through the mp_plat_print structure
which uses the MP_PLAT_PRINT_STRN macro to define how string are printed
on the platform. The former is only used when MICROPY_PY_IO is defined.
With this new scheme printing is generally more efficient (less layers
to go through, less arguments to pass), and, given an mp_print_t*
structure, one can call mp_print_str for efficiency instead of
mp_printf("%s", ...). Code size is also reduced by around 200 bytes on
Thumb2 archs.

A GC in stmhal port now only scans true root pointers, not entire BSS.
This reduces base GC time from 1700ms to 900ms.

The function is modeled after traceback.print_exception(), but unbloated,
and put into existing module to save overhead on adding another module.
Compliant traceback.print_exception() is intended to be implemented in
micropython-lib in terms of sys.print_exception().
This change required refactoring mp_obj_print_exception() to take pfenv_t
interface arguments.
Addresses #751.

Make a clearer distinction between init functions that must be done
before any scripts can run (xxx_init0) and those that can be safely
deferred (xxx_init).
Fix bug initialising USB VCP exception. Addresses issue #788.
Re-order some init function to improve reliability of
reset/soft-reset.

Need to have a policy as to how far we go adding keyword support to
built ins. It's nice to have, and gets better CPython compatibility,
but hurts the micro nature of uPy.
Addresses issue #577.

The documentation at http://micropython.org/doc/module/pyb/ExtInt should also be
updated.

Blanket wide to all .c and .h files. Some files originating from ST are
difficult to deal with (license wise) so it was left out of those.
Also merged modpyb.h, modos.h, modstm.h and modtime.h in stmhal/.

Decided to write own script to pull documentation from comments in C code.
Style for writing auto generated documentation is: start line with ///
and then use standard markdown to write the comment. Keywords
recognised by the scraper begin with backslash. See code for examples.
Running: python gendoc.py modpyb.c accel.c adc.c dac.c extint.c i2c.c
led.c pin.c rng.c servo.c spi.c uart.c usrsw.c, will generate a HTML
structure in gendoc-out/.
gendoc.py is crude but functional. Needed something quick, and this was
it.

This is an attempt to clean up the Micro Python API on the pyboard.
Gpio functionality is now in the Pin object, which seems more natural.
Constants for MODE and PULL are now in pyb.Pin. Names of some
classes have been adjusted to conform to CamelCase. Other
miscellaneous changes and clean up here and there.
