2020-03-18Update headers in the whole code base.Théo Zimmermann
Add headers to a few files which were missing them.
2019-06-17Update ml-style headers to new year.Théo Zimmermann
2019-04-02Remove -compat 8.7Jason Gross
This removes various compatibility notations. Closes #8374 This commit was mostly created by running `./dev/tools/update-compat.py --release`. There's a bit of manual spacing adjustment around all of the removed compatibility notations, and some test-suite updates were done manually. The update to CHANGES.md was manual.
2018-10-02Update compat notations to be compat 8.7Jason Gross
All changes done with ``` git grep --name-only 'compat "8.6"' | xargs sed -i s'/compat "8.6"/compat "8.7"/g' ``` As per https://github.com/coq/coq/pull/8374#issuecomment-426202818 and https://github.com/coq/coq/issues/8383#issuecomment-426200497

2018-03-02Remove the deprecation for some 8.2-8.5 compatibility aliases.Théo Zimmermann
This was decided during the Fall WG (2017). The aliases that are kept as deprecated are the ones where the difference is only a prefix becoming a qualified module name. The intention is to turn the warning for deprecated notations on. We change the compat version to 8.6 to allow the removal of VOld and V8_5.

2012-07-05ZArith + other : favor the use of modern names instead of compat notationsletouzey
- For instance, refl_equal --> eq_refl - Npos, Zpos, Zneg now admit more uniform qualified aliases N.pos, Z.pos, Z.neg. - A new module BinInt.Pos2Z with results about injections from positive to Z - A result about Z.pow pushed in the generic layer - Zmult_le_compat_{r,l} --> Z.mul_le_mono_nonneg_{r,l} - Using tactic Z.le_elim instead of Zle_lt_or_eq - Some cleanup in ring, field, micromega (use of "Equivalence", "Proper" ...) - Some adaptions in QArith (for instance changed Qpower.Qpower_decomp) - In ZMake and ZMake, functor parameters are now named NN and ZZ instead of N and Z for avoiding confusions git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@15515 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7
2011-05-05Modularization of BinPos + fixes in Stdlibletouzey
BinPos now contain a sub-module Pos, in which are placed functions like add (ex-Pplus), mul (ex-Pmult), ... and properties like add_comm, add_assoc, ... In addition to the name changes, the organisation is changed quite a lot, to try to take advantage more of the orders < and <= instead of speaking only of the comparison function. The main source of incompatibilities in scripts concerns this compare: Pos.compare is now a binary operation, expressed in terms of the ex-Pcompare which is ternary (expecting an initial comparision as 3rd arg), this ternary version being called now Pos.compare_cont. As for everything else, compatibility notations (only parsing) are provided. But notations "_ ?= _" on positive will have to be edited, since they now point to Pos.compare. We also make the sub-module Pos to be directly an OrderedType, and include results about min and max. git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@14098 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7

2010-04-29Remove the svn-specific $Id$ annotationsletouzey
- Many of them were broken, some of them after Pierre B's rework of mli for ocamldoc, but not only (many bad annotation, many files with no svn property about Id, etc) - Useless for those of us that work with git-svn (and a fortiori in a forthcoming git-only setting) - Even in svn, they seem to be of little interest git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@12972 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7
2009-11-11Better compatibility for Peqbletouzey
As show by contrib TreeAutomata, the Peqb now placed in BinPos was using 1st arg as "struct", instead of 2nd arg as earlier. Fix that, and remove the "Import BinPos BinNat" hack in Ndec (merci Hugo :-). git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@12503 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7

2009-07-22Better comparison functions in OrderedTypeExletouzey
The compare functions are still functions-by-tactics, but now their computational parts are completely pure (no use of lt_eq_lt_dec in nat_compare anymore), while their proofs parts are simply calls to (opaque) lemmas. This seem to improve the efficiency of sets/maps, as mentionned by T. Braibant, D. Pous and S. Lescuyer. The earlier version of nat_compare is now called nat_compare_alt, there is a proof of equivalence named nat_compare_equiv. By the way, various improvements of proofs, in particular in Pnat. git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@12247 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7

Me demander si besoin ma moulinette d'adaptation (incomplete). git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@8733 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7
