2020-03-18Update headers in the whole code base.Théo Zimmermann
Add headers to a few files which were missing them.
2019-06-17Update ml-style headers to new year.Théo Zimmermann
2019-03-20Stop accessing proof env via Pfedit in printersMaxime Dénès
This should make https://github.com/coq/coq/pull/9129 easier.
2018-12-11[api] Move reduction modules to `tactics`Emilio Jesus Gallego Arias
These modules do actually belong there. We have to slightly reorganize printers, removing a couple of duplicated ones in the way.

2018-06-12[api] Remove Misctypes.Emilio Jesus Gallego Arias
We move the last 3 types to more adequate places.
2018-03-09[located] Push inner locations in `reference` to a CAst.t node.Emilio Jesus Gallego Arias
The `reference` type contains some ad-hoc locations in its constructors, but there is no reason not to handle them with the standard attribute container provided by `CAst.t`. An orthogonal topic to this commit is whether the `reference` type should contain a location or not at all. It seems that many places would become a bit clearer by splitting `reference` into non-located `reference` and `lreference`, however some other places become messier so we maintain the current status-quo for now.
2018-03-09[located] More work towards using CAst.tEmilio Jesus Gallego Arias
We continue with the work of #402 and #6745 and update most of the remaining parts of the AST: - module declarations - intro patterns - top-level sentences Now, parsed documents should be full annotated by `CAst` nodes.
2018-03-05Merge PR #6855: Update headers following #6543.Maxime Dénès
2018-02-28[toplevel] Move beautify to its own pass.Emilio Jesus Gallego Arias
We first load the file, then we print it as a post-processing step. This is both more flexible and clearer. We also refactor the comments handling to minimize the logic that is living in the Lexer. Indeed, the main API is now living in the printer, and complex interactions with the state are not possible anymore, including the removal of messing with low-level summary and state setting!

2018-02-22[ast] Improve precision of Ast location recognition in serialization.Emilio Jesus Gallego Arias
We follow the suggestions in #402 and turn uses of `Loc.located` in `vernac` into `CAst.t`. The impact should be low as this change mostly affects top-level vernaculars. With this change, we are even closer to automatically map a text document to its AST in a programmatic way.
2017-11-24Extending further PR#6047 (system to register printers for Ltac values).Hugo Herbelin
We generalize the possible use of levels to raw and glob printers. This is potentially useful for printing ltac expressions which are the glob level.
2017-11-21[printing] Deprecate all printing functions accessing the global proof.Emilio Jesus Gallego Arias
We'd like to handle proofs functionally we thus recommend not to use printing functions without an explicit context. We also adapt most of the code, making more explicit where the printing environment is coming from. An open task is to refactor some code so we gradually make the `Pfedit.get_current_context ()` disappear.
2017-11-13[api] Another large deprecation, `Nameops`Emilio Jesus Gallego Arias
2017-07-04Bump year in headers.Pierre-Marie Pédrot
2017-05-27[cleanup] Unify all calls to the error function.Emilio Jesus Gallego Arias
This is the continuation of #244, we now deprecate `CErrors.error`, the single entry point in Coq is `user_err`. The rationale is to allow for easier grepping, and to ease a future cleanup of error messages. In particular, we would like to systematically classify all error messages raised by Coq and be sure they are properly documented. We restore the two functions removed in #244 to improve compatibility, but mark them deprecated.
2017-04-25[location] Make location optional in Loc.locatedEmilio Jesus Gallego Arias
This completes the Loc.ghost removal, the idea is to gear the API towards optional, but uniform, location handling. We don't print <unknown> anymore in the case there is no location. This is what the test suite expects. The old printing logic for located items was a bit inconsistent as it sometimes printed <unknown> and other times it printed nothing as the caller checked for `is_ghost` upstream.
2017-04-25[location] Remove Loc.ghost.Emilio Jesus Gallego Arias
Now it is a private field, locations are optional.

2016-10-18Merge branch 'v8.6'Pierre-Marie Pédrot
2016-10-17[toplevel] Remove duplicate beautify flags.Emilio Jesus Gallego Arias
Given the current style in flags.mli no reason to have a function. A deeper question is why a global flag is needed, in particular the use in `interp/constrextern.ml` seems strange, the condition in the lexer should be looked at and I'm not sure about `printing/`.

2016-10-09Moving Pp.comments to CLexer so that Pp is purer (no more side-effectHugo Herbelin
done by the Ppcmd_comment token) and so that lexing/parsing side-effects are collected at the same place, i.e. in CLexer.

2012-10-04Moved Compat to parsing. This permits to break the dependency of theppedrot
kernel on CAMLP4/5 structures, and consequently should also erase such structures from vo files. This modification requires some code duplication, mainly while reimplementing our own location data type. This is chiefly visible in the ml4 files, where CAMLP4/5 locations must be manually converted to our locations with an explicit (!@) cast operator. git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@15847 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7
