2020-03-18Update headers in the whole code base.Théo Zimmermann
Add headers to a few files which were missing them.
2019-06-17Update ml-style headers to new year.Théo Zimmermann
2019-06-11Fix #10225 (Instance := {} accepts duplicate fields)Gaëtan Gilbert
This replaces the mismatched context error, which occurred when Instance := {} was used with strictly more fields than declared. Since we later check that field names match those declared for the instance, now that we reject duplicates we know that there are no extra fields.

2018-06-12[api] Misctypes removal: miscellaneous aliases.Emilio Jesus Gallego Arias
2018-05-31[api] Move `Constrexpr` to the `interp` module.Emilio Jesus Gallego Arias
Continuing the interface cleanup we place `Constrexpr` in the internalization module, which is the one that eliminates it. This slims down `pretyping` considerably, including removing the `Univdecls` module which existed only due to bad dependency ordering in the first place. Thanks to @ Skyskimmer we also remove a duplicate `univ_decl` definition among `Misctypes` and `UState`. This is mostly a proof of concept yet as it depends on quite a few patches of the tree. For sure some tweaks will be necessary, but it should be good for review now. IMO the tree is now in a state where we can could easy eliminate more than 10 modules without any impact, IMHO this is a net saving API-wise and would help people to understand the structure of the code better.
2018-05-04[api] Rename `global_reference` to `GlobRef.t` to follow kernel style.Emilio Jesus Gallego Arias
In #6092, `global_reference` was moved to `kernel`. It makes sense to go further and use the current kernel style for names. This has a good effect on the dependency graph, as some core modules don't depend on library anymore. A question about providing equality for the GloRef module remains, as there are two different notions of equality for constants. In that sense, `KerPair` seems suspicious and at some point it should be looked at.
2018-03-09[located] More work towards using CAst.tEmilio Jesus Gallego Arias
We continue with the work of #402 and #6745 and update most of the remaining parts of the AST: - module declarations - intro patterns - top-level sentences Now, parsed documents should be full annotated by `CAst` nodes.

2016-01-11CLEANUP: kernel/context.ml{,i}Matej Kosik
The structure of the Context module was refined in such a way that: - Types and functions related to rel-context declarations were put into the Context.Rel.Declaration module. - Types and functions related to rel-context were put into the Context.Rel module. - Types and functions related to named-context declarations were put into the Context.Named.Declaration module. - Types and functions related to named-context were put into the Context.Named module. - Types and functions related to named-list-context declarations were put into Context.NamedList.Declaration module. - Types and functions related to named-list-context were put into Context.NamedList module. Some missing comments were added to the *.mli file. The output of ocamldoc was checked whether it looks in a reasonable way. "TODO: cleanup" was removed The order in which are exported functions listed in the *.mli file was changed. (as in a mature modules, this order usually is not random) The order of exported functions in Context.{Rel,Named} modules is now consistent. (as there is no special reason why that order should be different) The order in which are functions defined in the *.ml file is the same as the order in which they are listed in the *.mli file. (as there is no special reason to define them in a different order) The name of the original fold_{rel,named}_context{,_reverse} functions was changed to better indicate what those functions do. (Now they are called Context.{Rel,Named}.fold_{inside,outside}) The original comments originally attached to the fold_{rel,named}_context{,_reverse} did not full make sense so they were updated. Thrown exceptions are now documented. Naming of formal parameters was made more consistent across different functions. Comments of similar functions in different modules are now consistent. Comments from *.mli files were copied to *.ml file. (We need that information in *.mli files because that is were ocamldoc needs it. It is nice to have it also in *.ml files because when we are using Merlin and jump to the definion of the function, we can see the comments also there and do not need to open a different file if we want to see it.) When we invoke ocamldoc, we instruct it to generate UTF-8 HTML instead of (default) ISO-8859-1. (UTF-8 characters are used in our ocamldoc markup) "open Context" was removed from all *.mli and *.ml files. (Originally, it was OK to do that. Now it is not.) An entry to dev/doc/changes.txt file was added that describes how the names of types and functions have changed.

2010-05-19Add (almost) compatibility with camlp4, without breaking support for camlp5letouzey
The choice between camlp4/5 is done during configure with flags -usecamlp5 (default for the moment) vs. -usecamlp4. Currently, to have a full camlp4 compatibility, you need to change all "EXTEND" and "GEXTEND Gram" into "EXTEND Gram", and change "EOI" into "`EOI" in grammar entries. I've a sed script that does that (actually the converse), but I prefer to re-think it and check a few things before branching this sed into the build mechanism. lib/compat.ml4 is heavily used to hide incompatibilities between camlp4/5 and try to propose a common interface (cf LexerSig / GrammarSig). A few incompatible quotations have been turned into underlying code manually, in order to make the IFDEF CAMLP5 THEN ... ELSE ... END parsable by both camlp4 and 5. See in particular the fate of <:str_item< declare ... end >> Stdpp isn't used anymore, but rather Ploc (hidden behind local module Loc). This forces to use camlp5 > 5.01. git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@13019 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7
2010-04-29Remove the svn-specific $Id$ annotationsletouzey
- Many of them were broken, some of them after Pierre B's rework of mli for ocamldoc, but not only (many bad annotation, many files with no svn property about Id, etc) - Useless for those of us that work with git-svn (and a fortiori in a forthcoming git-only setting) - Even in svn, they seem to be of little interest git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@12972 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7

2009-05-18Minor unification changes:msozeau
- Primitive setup for firing typeclass resolution on-demand: add a flag to control resolution of remaining evars (e.g. typeclasses) during unification. - Prevent canonical projection resolution when no delta is allowed during unification (fixes incompatibility found in ssreflect). - Correctly check types when the head is an evar _or_ a meta in w_unify. Move [isEvar_or_Meta] to kernel/term.ml, it's used in two places now. git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@12131 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7

Add definitions of relational algebra in Classes/RelationClasses including equivalence, inclusion, conjunction and disjunction. Add PartialOrder class and show that we have a partial order on relations. Change SubRelation to subrelation for consistency with the standard library. The caracterization of PartialOrder is a bit original: we require an equivalence and a preorder so that the equivalence relation is equivalent to the conjunction of the order relation and its inverse. We can derive antisymmetry and appropriate morphism instances from this. Also add a fully general heterogeneous definition of respectful from which we can build the non-dependent respectful combinator. git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@10728 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7
2008-03-27Various fixes on typeclasses:msozeau
- Better interface in constrintern w.r.t. evars used during typechecking - Add "unsatisfiable_constraints" exception which gives back the raw evar_map that was not satisfied during typeclass search (presentation could be improved). - Correctly infer the minimal sort for typeclasses declared as definitions (everything was in type before). - Really handle priorities in typeclass eauto: goals produced with higher priority (lowest number) instances are tried before other of lower priority goals, regardless of the number of subgoals. - Change inverse to a notation for flip, now that universe polymorphic definitions are handled correctly. - Add EquivalenceDec class similar to SetoidDec, declaring decision procedures for equivalences. git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@10724 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7
2008-03-19Do another pass on the typeclasses code. Correct globalization of classmsozeau
names, gives the ability to specify qualified classes in instance declarations. Use that in the class_tactics code. Refine the implementation of classes. For singleton classes the implementation of the class becomes a regular definition (into Type or Prop). The single method becomes a 'trivial' projection that allows to launch typeclass resolution. Each instance is just a definition as usual. Examples in theories/Classes/RelationClasses. This permits to define [Class reflexive A (R : relation A) := refl : forall x, R x x.]. The definition of [reflexive] that is generated is the same as the original one. We just need a way to declare arbitrary lemmas as instances of a particular class to retrofit existing reflexivity lemmas as typeclass instances of the [reflexive] class. Also debug rewriting under binders in setoid_rewrite to allow rewriting with lemmas which capture the bound variables when applied (works only with setoid_rewrite, as rewrite first matches the lemma with the entire, closed term). One can rewrite with [H : forall x, R (f x) (g x)] in the goal [exists x, P (f x)]. git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@10697 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7
