Towards #5154 (but insufficient)

We store bound variable names instead of functions for both branches and
predicate, and we furthermore add the parameters in the node. Let bindings
are not taken into account and require an environment lookup for retrieval.

This was useless, since we did not observe the difference on evars.

Add headers to a few files which were missing them.

We also remove trailing whitespace.

Kernel should be mostly correct, higher levels do random stuff at
times.
|

The code to generate the legacy bodies is moved to its only user in
extraction.
It almost seems like we could remove it (ie no special extraction code
for primitive projection constants) but then we run into issues with
automatic unboxing eg `Record foo := { a : nat; b : a <= 5 }.` gets
extracted to `type foo = nat` and (if we remove the special code) `let
a = a`.

A few of them will be of help for future cleanups. We have spared the
stuff in `Names` due to bad organization of this module following the
split from `Term`, which really difficult things removing the
constructors.
|

The upper layers still need a mapping constant -> projection, which is
provided by Recordops.
|
|
This shall eventually allow to use contexts of declarations in the
definition of the "Case" constructor.
Basically, this means that Constr now includes Context and that the
"t" types of Context which were specialized on constr are not defined
in Constr (unfortunately using a heavy boilerplate).

This was completely wrong, such a term could not even be type-checked by
the kernel as it was internally using a match construct over a negative
record. They were luckily only used in upper layers, namley printing
and extraction.
Recomputing the projection body might be costly in detyping, but this only
happens when the compatibility flag is turned on, which is not the default.
Such flag is probably bound to disappear anyways.
Extraction should be fixed though so as to define directly primitive
projections, similarly to what has been done in native compute.

This field was not used inside the kernel and not used in
performance-critical code where caching is essential, so we extrude
the code that computes it out of the kernel.
|
|

This commit was motivated by true spurious conversions arising in my
`to_constr` debug branch.
The changes here need careful review as the tradeoffs are subtle and
still a lot of clean up remains to be done in `vernac/*`.
We have opted for penalize [minimally] the few users coming from true
`Constr`-land, but I am sure we can tweak code in a much better way.
In particular, it is not clear if internalization should take an
`evar_map` even in the cases where it is not triggered, see the
changes under `plugins` for a good example.
Also, the new return type of `Pretyping.understand` should undergo
careful review.
We don't touch `Impargs` as it is not clear how to proceed, however,
the current type of `compute_implicits_gen` looks very suspicious as
it is called often with free evars.
Some TODOs are:
- impargs was calling whd_all, the Econstr equivalent can be either
+ Reductionops.whd_all [which does refolding and no sharing]
+ Reductionops.clos_whd_flags with all as a flag.

This ensures by construction that we never infer constraints outside
the variance model.

There don't really bring anything, we also correct some minor nits
with the printing function.

We do up to `Term` which is the main bulk of the changes.

The transition has been done a bit brutally. I think we can still save a
lot of useless normalizations here and there by providing the right API
in EConstr. Nonetheless, this is a first step.

Incidentally, this fixes a printing bug in output/inference.v where the
displayed name of an evar was the wrong one because its type was not
evar-expanded enough.

Now scheme will not try to build ill-typed dependent analyses
on recursive records with primitive projections but report
a proper error.
Minor change of the API (adding one error case to recursion_scheme_error).

The structure of the Context module was refined in such a way that:
- Types and functions related to rel-context declarations were put into the Context.Rel.Declaration module.
- Types and functions related to rel-context were put into the Context.Rel module.
- Types and functions related to named-context declarations were put into the Context.Named.Declaration module.
- Types and functions related to named-context were put into the Context.Named module.
- Types and functions related to named-list-context declarations were put into Context.NamedList.Declaration module.
- Types and functions related to named-list-context were put into Context.NamedList module.
Some missing comments were added to the *.mli file.
The output of ocamldoc was checked whether it looks in a reasonable way.
"TODO: cleanup" was removed
The order in which are exported functions listed in the *.mli file was changed.
(as in a mature modules, this order usually is not random)
The order of exported functions in Context.{Rel,Named} modules is now consistent.
(as there is no special reason why that order should be different)
The order in which are functions defined in the *.ml file is the same as the order in which they are listed in the *.mli file.
(as there is no special reason to define them in a different order)
The name of the original fold_{rel,named}_context{,_reverse} functions was changed to better indicate what those functions do.
(Now they are called Context.{Rel,Named}.fold_{inside,outside})
The original comments originally attached to the fold_{rel,named}_context{,_reverse} did not full make sense so they were updated.
Thrown exceptions are now documented.
Naming of formal parameters was made more consistent across different functions.
Comments of similar functions in different modules are now consistent.
Comments from *.mli files were copied to *.ml file.
(We need that information in *.mli files because that is were ocamldoc needs it.
It is nice to have it also in *.ml files because when we are using Merlin and jump to the definion of the function,
we can see the comments also there and do not need to open a different file if we want to see it.)
When we invoke ocamldoc, we instruct it to generate UTF-8 HTML instead of (default) ISO-8859-1.
(UTF-8 characters are used in our ocamldoc markup)
"open Context" was removed from all *.mli and *.ml files.
(Originally, it was OK to do that. Now it is not.)
An entry to dev/doc/changes.txt file was added that describes how the names of types and functions have changed.

cleaning the interfaces is eventually easier. Here, adding
find_mrectype_vect to simplify vnorm.ml.

I'm pushing this patch now because the previous treatment of such projections
in the VM was already unsound. It should however be carefully reviewed.

The bug was in the List.chop of Inductiveops.get_arity which was wrong
in the presence of let-ins and recursively non-uniform parameters.
The bug #3491 showed up because, in addition to have let-ins, it was
wrongly detected as having recursively non-uniform parameters.
Also added some comments in declarations.mli.

Now kernel/indtypes builds the corresponding terms (has to be trusted)
while translate_constant just binds a constant name to the
already entered projection body, avoiding the dubious "check"
of user given terms. "case" Pattern-matching on primitive records is
now disallowed, and the default scheme is implemented using
projections and eta (all elimination tactics now use projections
as well). Elaborate "let (x, y) := p in t" using let bindings
for the projections of p too.

This replaces commit bf7d2a3ad2535e7d57db79c17c81aaf67d956965 which was
acting at the level of logic.ml. Now acting in tactics.ml.
Parts of things to be done about naming (not related to Propositions):
induction on H:nat+bool produces hypotheses n and b but destruct on H
produces a and b. This is because induction takes the dependent scheme
whose names are statically inferred to be a and b while destruct
dynamically builds a new scheme.
