2008-12-16Take advantage of natdynlink when available: almost all contribs become ↵letouzey
loadable plugins - Any contrib foo leads to contrib/foo/foo_plugin.cmxs (and .cma for bytecode). - Features that were available without any Require are now loaded systematically when launching coqtop (see Coqtop.load_initial_plugins): extraction, jprover, cc, ground, dp, recdef, xml - The other plugins are loaded when a corresponding Require is done: quote, ring, field, setoid_ring, omega, romega, micromega, fourier - I experienced a crash (segfault) while turning subtac into a plugin, so this one stays statically linked into coqtop for now - When the ocaml version doesn't support natdynlink, or if "-natdynlink no" is explicitely given to configure, coqtop is statically linked with all of the above code as usual. Some messages [Ignore ML file Foo_plugin] may appear. - How should coqdep handle a "Declare ML Module "foo"" if foo is an archive and not a ml file ? For now, we suppose that the foo.{cmxs, cma} are at the same location as the .v during the build, but can be moved later in any place of the ml loadpath. This is clearly an experimentation. Feedback most welcome... git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@11687 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7

2008-04-12Adding 'at' to rewrite, as it is already implemented in setoid_rewrite.msozeau
Uses setoid_rewrite even if rewriting with leibniz if there are specified occurences, maybe a combination of pattern and rewrite could be done instead. Correct spelling of occurrences. 2008-03-06Plug the new setoid implemtation in, leaving the original one commentedmsozeau
out. The semantics of the old setoid are faithfully simulated by the new tactic, hence no scripts involving rewrite are modified. However, parametric morphism declarations need to be changed, but there are only a few in the standard library, notably in FSets. The declaration and the introduction of variables in the script need to be tweaked a bit, otherwise the proofs remain unchanged. Some fragile scripts not introducting their variable names explicitely were broken. Requiring Setoid requires Program.Basics which sets stronger implicit arguments on some constants, a few scripts benefit from that. Ring/field have been ported but do not really use the new typeclass architecture as well as they could. Performance should be mostly unchanged, but will certainly improve in the near future. Size of the vo's seems not to have changed at all. It will certainly break some contribs using Setoid. git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@10631 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7

lib/option.ml(i) .

2004-11-16Names.substitution (and related functions) and Term.subst_mps moved tosacerdot
the new module kernel/mod_subst.ml. MOTIVATION: mod_subst is compiled after kernel/term.ml; thus it is now possible to define substitutions that also delta-expand constants (by associating the delta-expanded form to the constant name). git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@6304 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7
2004-11-16IMPORTANT COMMIT: constant is now an ADT (it used to be equal to kernel_name).sacerdot
MOVITATION: in a forthcoming commit the application of a substitution to a constant will return a constr and not a constant. The application of a substitution to a kernel_name will return a kernel_name. Thus "constant" should be use as a kernel name for references that can be delta-expanded. KNOWN PROBLEMS: the only problem faced is in pretyping/recordops.ml (the code that implements "Canonical Structure"s). The ADT is violated once in this ocaml module. My feeling is that the implementation of "Canonical Structure"s should be rewritten to avoid this situation. git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@6303 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7

2004-10-01The "Add Setoid" command now has a new argument "as name" that is usedsacerdot
to generate the name of the morphism. Previously the name was automatically generated, but this behaviour was not compatible with module typing: it was not possible to generate the same identifier in the module type and in the module. git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@6168 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7
