In favor of a constr_of_monomorphic_global function. When people
move to the new Coqlib interface they will also see this deprecation
message encouraging them to think about the best move.
This commit changes a few references to constr_of_global and replaces
them with a constr_of_monomorphic_global which makes it apparent that
this is not the function to call to globalize polymorphic references.
The remaining parts using constr_of_monomorphic_global are easily
identifiable using this: omega, btauto, ring, funind and auto_ind_decl
mainly (this fixes firstorder). What this means is that the symbols
registered for these tactics have to be monomorphic for now.

In general, `Nametab` is not a module you want to open globally as it
exposes very generic identifiers such as `push` or `global`.
Thus, we remove all global opens and qualify `Nametab` access. The
patch is small and confirms the hypothesis that `Nametab` access
happens in few places thus it doesn't need a global open.
It is also very convenient to be able to use `grep` to see accesses to
the namespace table.

This is needed for compatibility with directory-listing
infrastructure.

Thus the adhoc univops can be removed at the end of the deprecation period.
Should we keep exposing restrict_universe_context or make people go

restrict_universe_context is used directly only by newring, where it's

As noted by @ppedrot there are some small differences on semantics:
> OCaml's `trim` also takes line feeds (LF) into account. Similarly,
> OCaml's `split` never returns an empty list whereas Coq's `split`

Almost all of ml4 were removed in the process. The only remaining files
are in the test-suite and probably need a bit of fiddling with coq_makefile,
and there only two really remaning ml4 files containing code.
|

We chose to stick to the most general possible API, even though the macro
will not make full use of the possibilities. It makes explicit the various
data expected to be provided in an orthogonal way.

Those optional arguments did not really make sense. It was pretty clear from
our code base, as all instances where triplicating the same type for TYPED,
RAW_TYPED and GLOB_TYPED.

Lintian found some spelling errors in the Debian packaging for coq. Fix
them most places they appear in the current source. (Don't change
documentation anchor names, as that would invalidate external
deeplinks.)
This also fixes a bug in coqdoc: prior to this commit, coqdoc would
highlight `instanciate` but not `instantiate`.

"Declaration" hooks can be polymorphic on their return type, however
this facility doesn't seem used in the codebase.
We thus remove the polymorphism with the hope to be able to reify the
control later on.

For some reason PR #7894 left this spurious file; this is typical of a
bad resolution of a merge, and while the file is innocuous it should
go away.
|
|
We refactor the `Coqlib` API to locate objects over a namespace
`module.object.property`.
This introduces the vernacular command `Register g as n` to expose the
Coq constant `g` under the name `n` (through the `register_ref`
function). The constant can then be dynamically located using the
`lib_ref` function.

example.v only tests psatz Z
example_nia.v only tests lia, nia
In both files, the tests are in essence the same.
In particular, if a test is solved by psatz but not by nia,
we finish the goal by an explicit Abort.
There are additional tests in example_nia.v which require specific
integer reasoning out of scope of psatz.

All the `evar_map` APIs were deprecated in 8.9, thus we deprecate the
combinators to discourage this style of programming.
Still a few places do use imperative style, but they are pretty
localized and should be cleaned up separately.
As these are the last bits of `e_` API remaining this PR closes #6342.

A few of them will be of help for future cleanups. We have spared the
stuff in `Names` due to bad organization of this module following the
split from `Term`, which really difficult things removing the
constructors.
|

We remove sections paths from kernel names. This is a cleanup as most of the times this information was unused. This implies a change in the Kernel API and small user visible changes with regards to tactic qualification. In particular, the removal of "global discharge" implies a large cleanup of code.
Additionally, the change implies that some machinery in `library` and `safe_typing` must now take an `~in_section` parameter, as to provide the information whether a section is open or not.

Unluckily this is the only file that contains a VERNAC EXTEND and no
ARGUMENT EXTEND, which are not handled yet.
|
|
This was imposing a bit of useless burden on the API for no good reason.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Current compilation of ssrparser.ml4 produces:

the solution is easy.

The functions in `Termops.print_*` are meant to be debug printers,
however, they are sometimes used in non-debug code due to a API
confusion.
We thus wrap such functions into an `Internal` module, improve
documentation, and switch users to the right API.
|

|
After the introduction of `EConstr`, "normalization" has become
unnecessary, we thus deprecate the `nf_*` family of functions.
Test-suite and CI pass after the fix for #8513.
