The optimisation done of Namegen.visibly_occur_id did not preserve
the previous behavior when pr_constr/constr_extern/detype were
called on a term with free rel variables. We backtrack on it to
go back to the 8.2 behavior.
Seized this opportunity to clarify the meaning of the at_top flag
in constrextern.ml and printer.ml and to rename it into
goal_concl_style. The badly-named at_top flag was introduced in
Coq 6.3 in 1999 to mean that when printing variables bound in the
goal, names had to avoid the names of the variables of the goal
context, so as to keep naming stable when using "intro"; in
r4458, printing improved by not avoiding names that were short
names of global definitions, e.g. "S", or "O" (except when the
at_top flag was on for compatibility reasons).
Other printing strategies could be possible in the
non-goal-concl-style mode. For instance, all bound variables
could be made distinct in a given expression, even if no clash
occur, therefore following so-called Barendregt's
convention. This could be done by setting "avoid"
to "ids_of_rel_context (rel_context env)" in extern_constr and
extern_type (and then, Namegen.visibly_occur_id could be
re-simplified again!).

Detyping is wrong about it and as far as I understand no one but Constrextern uses
it. Constrextern has now the same machinery for all patterns.

In interp/constrintern.ml, '_' for constructor parameter are required if you use
AppExpl ('@Constr') and added in order to be erased at the last time if you do not
use '@'.
It makes the use of notation in pattern more permissive. For example,
-8<------
Inductive I (A: Type) : Type := C : A -> I A.
Notation "x <: T" := (C T x) (at level 38).
Definition uncast A (x : I A) :=
match x with
| x <: _ => x
end.
-8<------
was forbidden.
Backward compatibility is strictly preserved expect for syntactic definitions:
While defining "Notation SOME = @Some", SOME had a special treatment and used to
be an alias of Some in pattern. It is now uniformly an alias of @Some ('_' must be
provided for parameters).
In interp/constrextern.ml, except if all the parameters are implicit and all the
arguments explicit (This covers all the cases of the test-suite), pattern are
generated with AppExpl (id est '@') (so with '_' for parameters) in order to
become compatible in any case with future behavior.

For instance, consider this inductive type:
Inductive Ind := A | B | C | D.
For detecting "match" on this type, one was forced earlier to write code
in Ltac using "match goal" and/or "context [...]" and long patterns such as:
match _ with A => _ | B => _ | C => _ | D => _ end
After this patch, this pattern can be shortened in many alternative ways:
match _ with A => _ | _ => _ end
match _ with B => _ | _ => _ end
match _ in Ind with _ => _ end
Indeed, if we want to detect a "match" of a given type, we can either
leave at least one branch where a constructor is explicit, or use a "in"
annotation.
Now, we can also detect any "match" regardless of its type:
match _ with _ => _ end
Note : this will even detect "match" over empty inductive types.
Compatibility should be preserved, since "match _ with end" will
continue to correspond only to empty inductive types.
Internally, the constr_pattern PCase has changed quite a lot, a few elements
are now grouped into a case_info_pattern record, while branches are now
lists of given sub-patterns.
NB: writing "match" with missing last branches in a constr pattern was actually
tolerated by Pattern.pattern_of_glob_constr earlier, since the number of
constructor per inductive is unknown there. And this was triggering an uncaught
exception in a array_fold_left_2 in Matching later. Oups. At least this patch
fixes this issue...
Btw: the code in Pattern.pattern_of_glob_constr was quadratic in the number
of branch in a match pattern. I doubt this was really a problem, but having now
linear code instead cannot harm ;-)

There was a discrepancy of the notions "raw" and "globalized" between
constrs and tactics, and some confusion of the notions in
e.g. genarg.mli (see all globwit_* there). This commit is a first step
towards unification of terminology between constrs and
tactics. Changes in module names will be done separately.
In extraargs.ml4, the "ARGUMENT EXTEND raw" and related stuff, even
affected by this change, has not been touched and highlights another
confusion in "ARGUMENT EXTEND" in general that will be addressed
later.
The funind plugin doesn't respect the same naming conventions as the
rest, so leave some "raw" there for now... they will be addressed
later.
This big commit has been generated with the following command (wrapped
here, but should be on a *single* line):

- Deactivation of short names registration and printing for
abbreviations to identical names, what avoids printing uselessly
qualified names binding where the short name is in fact equivalent.
- New treatment of abbreviations to names: don't insert any maximally
inserted implicit arguments at all at the time of the abbreviation
and use the regular internalization strategy to have them inserted
at use time.
- The previous modifications altogether make redirections of
qualified names easier and avoid the semantic change of r12349 and
hence allows to keep "Notation b := @a" as it was before, i.e. as a
notation for the deactivation of the implicit arguments of a.
- Took benefit of these changes and updated nil/cons/list/app
redefinition in "List.v".
- Fixed parsing/printing notation bugs (loop on partially applied
abreviations for constructors in constrintern.ml + bad reverting of
notations with holes that captured non anonymous variables in
match_cases_pattern).
- Add support for parsing/printing abbreviations to @-like constructors
and for reverting printing for abbreviations to constructors applied
to parameters only (function extern_symbol_pattern).
- Minor error messages fixes and minor APIs cleaning.

This commit concerns about the first half of the useless code
mentionned by Oug for coqtop (without plugins). For the moment,
Oug is used in a mode where any elements mentionned in a .mli
is considered to be precious. This already allows to detect and
remove about 600 lines, and more is still to come.
Among the interesting points, the type Entries.specification_entry
and its constructors SPExxx were never used. Large parts of cases.ml
(and hence subtac_cases.ml) were also useless.

- The measure can now refer to all the formal arguments
- The recursive calls can make all the arguments vary as well
- Generalized to any relation and measure (new syntax {measure m on R})
This relies on an automatic curryfication transformation, the real
fixpoint combinator is working on a sigma type of the arguments.
Reduces to the previous impl in case only one argument is involved.
The patch also introduces a new flag on implicit arguments that says if
the argument has to be infered (default) or can be turned into a
subgoal/obligation. Comes with a test-suite file.

It solves feature request 1852, makes me and Arnaud happy and
will permit to factor some more code in typeclasses.
- Records are introduced using the syntax "{| x := t; y := foo |}" and
"with" clauses are currently parsed but not yet supported in the
elaboration. You are invited to suggest other syntaxes :)
- Missing fields are turned into holes, extra fields cause an error
message. The current implementation finds the type of the record
at pretyping time, from the typing constraint alone (and just expects
an inductive with one constructor). It is then impossible to use
scope information to parse the bodies: that may be wrong. The other
solution I see is using the fields to detect the type earlier, before
internalisation of the bodies, but then we get in name clash hell.
- In funind/contrib/interface I mostly put [assert false] everywhere to
avoid warnings.
