- Deactivation of short names registration and printing for abbreviations to identical names, what avoids printing uselessly qualified names binding where the short name is in fact equivalent. - New treatment of abbreviations to names: don't insert any maximally inserted implicit arguments at all at the time of the abbreviation and use the regular internalization strategy to have them inserted at use time. - The previous modifications altogether make redirections of qualified names easier and avoid the semantic change of r12349 and hence allows to keep "Notation b := @a" as it was before, i.e. as a notation for the deactivation of the implicit arguments of a. - Took benefit of these changes and updated nil/cons/list/app redefinition in "List.v". - Fixed parsing/printing notation bugs (loop on partially applied abreviations for constructors in constrintern.ml + bad reverting of notations with holes that captured non anonymous variables in match_cases_pattern). - Add support for parsing/printing abbreviations to @-like constructors and for reverting printing for abbreviations to constructors applied to parameters only (function extern_symbol_pattern). - Minor error messages fixes and minor APIs cleaning. git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@12494 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7

This commit concerns about the first half of the useless code mentionned by Oug for coqtop (without plugins). For the moment, Oug is used in a mode where any elements mentionned in a .mli is considered to be precious. This already allows to detect and remove about 600 lines, and more is still to come. Among the interesting points, the type Entries.specification_entry and its constructors SPExxx were never used. - The measure can now refer to all the formal arguments - The recursive calls can make all the arguments vary as well - Generalized to any relation and measure (new syntax {measure m on R}) This relies on an automatic curryfication transformation, the real fixpoint combinator is working on a sigma type of the arguments. Reduces to the previous impl in case only one argument is involved. The patch also introduces a new flag on implicit arguments that says if the argument has to be infered (default) or can be turned into a subgoal/obligation. It solves feature request 1852, makes me and Arnaud happy and will permit to factor some more code in typeclasses. - Records are introduced using the syntax "{| x := t; y := foo |}" and "with" clauses are currently parsed but not yet supported in the elaboration. You are invited to suggest other syntaxes :) - Missing fields are turned into holes, extra fields cause an error message. The current implementation finds the type of the record at pretyping time, from the typing constraint alone (and just expects an inductive with one constructor). It is then impossible to use scope information to parse the bodies: that may be wrong. files, about definitions and type of references. - Add missing location information on fixpoints/cofixpoint in topconstr and syntactic definitions in vernacentries for correct dumping. - Dump definition information in vernacentries: defs, constructors, projections etc... - Modify coqdoc/index.mll to use this information instead of trying to scan the file. - Use the type information in latex output, update coqdoc.sty accordingly. - Use the hyperref package to do crossrefs between definition and references to coq objects in latex. Next step is to test and debug it on bigger developments. 2008-05-06Postpone the search for the recursive argument index from the user givenmsozeau
name after internalisation, to get the correct behavior with typeclass binders. This simplifies the pretty printing and translation of the recursive argument name in various places too. Use this opportunity to factorize the different internalization and interpretation functions of binders as well. This definitely fixes part 2 of bug #1846 and makes it possible to use fixpoint definitions with typeclass arguments in program too, with an example given in EquivDec. Change implementation: no longer a separate AST node, just add a case_style annotation on Cases to indicate it (if ML was dependently typed we could ensure that LetPatternStyle Cases have only one term to be matched and one branch, alas...). This factors out most code and we lose no functionality (win ! win !). Add LetPat.v test suite. - Slight improvement of inference of return clauses for dependent pattern matching. If matching a variable of non-dependent type under a tycon that mentions it while giving no return clause, the dependency will be automatically infered. Examples at the end of DepPat. lib/option.ml(i) . J'en profite pour rajouter des primitives de lifting des fonctions (à un ou deux arguments tous ou partie de type option). Il reste quelques opérations dans Util à propos desquelles je ne suis pas trop sûr, ou simplement que j'ai oublié, mais qui attendront demain car il est tard (comme some_in qui devrait devenir Option.make je suppose) . Elles s'expriment souvent facilement en fonction des autres, par exemple "option_compare x y" est égal à "Option.lift2 compare x y" . Le option_cons devrait faire son chemin dans le module parce qu'il est assez primitif et qu'il n'y a pas de fonction "cons" dans OCaml. J'en ai profité aussi pour remplacer les trop nombreux "failwith" par des erreurs locales au module, donc plus robustes. J'ai trouvé aussi une fonction qui était définie deux fois, et une définie dans un module particulier. Mon seul bémol (mais facile à traiter) c'est la proximité entre le nom de module Option et l'ancien Options. 2006-10-05Essai de changement de sémantique du %scope : herbelin
1- ne s'applique plus que sur la notation immédiate au lieu de s'appliquer récursivement pour toutes les notations de l'expression concernée; 2- désactive la pile de scope pour cette notation immédiate. Le point 2 est clairement préférable pour les notations de la forme 3%sc, où on ne veut pas que 3 soit interprété dans un autre scope que sc même si sc n'a pas de notations numériques. 2006-04-24Timide tentative de clarification du statut de l'opérateur de filtrageherbelin
PCase dans le type pattern: le type pattern est utilisé essentiellement dans ltac, il est normalement obtenu sans typage, et ce via rawconstr (sauf cas de filtrage ltac non linéaire où il est obtenu de constr). Le cas d'un filtrage sur un "if" doit être traité à part car sans le type, il est impossible de savoir le nombre d'arguments du constructeur puisque par définition du "if", ceux-ci ne sont pas liants et ne laissent pas dans la syntaxe concrète (résolution au passage du bug #1070, dû à un filtrage incomplet dans le passage de pattern à rawconstr permettant l'affichage des pattern). git-svn-id: svn+ssh://scm.gforge.inria.fr/svn/coq/trunk@8728 85f007b7-540e-0410-9357-904b9bb8a0f7
